Sino - Mamela album, Mthunzi - Selimathunzi album & S-tone - imbizo EP in review

8.11.19

It won’t be fitting to go on a  gents-only  review without the 1st lady of @ElWorldMusic Simmysa leading the way. No, we are not talking about the smash hit, Ngiyesaba, we talking the visuals of Nawe.

They deserve a woooooooo sheeem! Think Culoe De Song x Thandiswa Mazwai – nguwe typa vibes, mash that up with Gigi Lamayne’s ice cream track.

Without giving much away (maybe we have, lol) it promises to leave Simphiwe Nhlangulela aka Simmysa’s followers, chanting away at the easy to follow lyrics and she will wooo brand new fans as she unveils a different side of her that’s kinda ready for love or she might be still on that Ngiyesaba tip, you’ll decide. Ok, be the first to check it out here

Not forgetting the visual of Vuka Afrika where the songstress is featured by the resident vocalist Sifiso 's -tone' Magagula aka S-tone . The vid has been doing the rounds on leading music video channels

Mthunzi – Selimathunzi

The guy is box fresh, raw, uncolonized. Judging from his whats app stories, you just don’t know what he is thinking and his debut album is no different.
The success of the hit song Insimbi, was a must, considering the way masses were left dumb struck by the track Vuka. With many exposed to Sanele T Sithole aka Sun-El Musician ’s 5FM mixes, we knew there was some genius traces on the instrumental, but for the team to let Mthunzi Ndimande rip on the vocals… what a risk! The heavy radio rotation of the track is just testament of just how versatile their approach to the craft is.

Chiselled with 17 tracks the album could easily be a best newcomer contender on any scale. Be sure to come check out some more track reviews as Universal music unveils…

SinoMsolo – Mamela

Now here is where you need to pay special attention, as the album tittle suggests. Dubbed as the perfect mix of Something Soweto and Mlindo the vocalists, the boy has a crystal voice.

With Mthunzi featuring on two solid tracks, the cat is out of the bag that the 16 track album drops on the 28th of November all under El world music. There is some Gospel, some deep house, sad songs, love songs, amapiano, everything for everyone.

Having dropped Khetha loya and intombi yami at the same time, it was always gonna be up-hill to top that. The follow up single Angsakwaz ukulala, sanctifies Sino’s vocals and Sun El musician’s heart throbbing baseline.
You just cant wait for the next track and the next, there is just no skipping.

It is interesting that Simmysa is not featured, nor is S-tone, or maybe not that l know of. Chances are that was the plan all along, to unveil just how much the boy can grind, POWER!
